About Course

A Certified Specialty Pharmacist (CSP) course is a program that prepares pharmacists to specialize in the care of patients who require complex and high-cost medications for chronic or rare conditions. To become a CSP, a pharmacist must meet certain eligibility requirements and pass a certification exam administered by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). A CSP course may cover topics such as pharmacotherapy, reimbursement, fulfillment, outcomes, and patient management for various specialty disease states.

Eligibilities

To be eligible for the CSP course, you must meet the following requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Licensure: Active pharmacist license in good standing, with no current restrictions or pending actions, in the U.S. or Canada.
Continuing Education: Completion of 30 hours of Specialty Pharmacy continuing education in the previous two years. Experience: 3,000 hours of Specialty Pharmacy practice in the previous four years.
